Ciao! 👋
My name is Mauro, and I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Verona, Italy. 🇮🇹
My research lies within the field of agricultural chemistry, focusing on the chemical and biochemical processes that regulate nutrient cycling and availability in plant–soil systems. 👨🔬
I investigate the interactions between soil chemistry, rhizosphere dynamics, and plant nutrition to better understand the mechanisms underlying plant growth and nutrient use efficiency.
More broadly, my expertise encompasses 🌱 plant nutrition and physiology, with a specific focus on plant responses to nutrient availability and deficiency.
I’m a big fan of R and its possibilities, 🧑💻 from data analysis and visualisation to publication and bioinformatics. 📉
I also deeply love traditional Irish music and the Gaelic Irish (alias Gaeilge) language 🇮🇪, and I enjoy tinkering with electronic components and computers in my free time. 🖥️
Additionally, I am one of the authors of the book 📗L’irlandese contemporaneo, which provides a compendium of historical, grammatical, and socio-linguistic identity notions of the Gaelic Irish language. It is available in both digital and print formats.
✍️ Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Omnia, an independent and multidisciplinary open-access journal.
