Ciao! 👋

My name is Mauro, and I am a former PostDoc Researcher at Unibz, Italy. 🇮🇹

My research 🧪 is all about allelopathic phenomena, especially in ancient and modern barley varieties, from a chemical and microbiological perspective. The molecules I’m interested in are the two allelochemicals, gramine and hordenine.👨‍🔬

Furthermore, my background encompasses various aspects of 🌱 plant nutrition and physiology, with a particular focus on nutritional deficiencies.

I’m a big fan of R and its possibilities, 🧑‍💻 from data analysis and visualisation to publication and bioinformatics. 📉

I also deeply love traditional Irish music and the Gaelic Irish (alias Gaeilge) language 🇮🇪, and I enjoy tinkering with electronic components and computers in my free time. 🖥️

Additionally, I am one of the authors of the book 📗L’irlandese contemporaneo, which provides a compendium of historical, grammatical, and socio-linguistic identity notions of the Gaelic Irish language. It is available in both digital and print formats.

✍️ Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Omnia, an independent and multidisciplinary open-access journal.
